Eligibility

Velvet Haven is strictly for adults age 18 or older. Confirming that you are 18 or older is an early gate only; it is not verification. Eligibility depends on an independent, provider-hosted age and identity check confirming a date of birth showing you are at least 18.

Membership requires all of the following

• a verified email address used to sign in
• a completed membership application, including the required dating-profile answers
• a passed age and identity verification through the independent hosted provider
• at least one acceptable dating profile photo
• acceptance of these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines
• approval by Velvet Haven administrative review

Signing in, checking an 18+ box, or typing an age into a form does not make you a verified or approved member. Applications move through: submitted, under review, then approved, waitlisted or declined. Until an application is approved, member browsing, messaging and membership activation stay locked.

Verification

Identity checks are performed by an independent verification provider in its own hosted flow using a government-issued photo ID and, where supported, a matching selfie. Velvet Haven does not store the ID image, the selfie, the document number or biometric data. Verified status is set only by our backend from the provider's result. If the confirmed date of birth is under 18, the application is blocked. After three failed attempts, verification pauses for administrative review. If verification cannot be completed or its state is unknown, access remains closed.

Velvet Haven does not perform criminal-record or sex-offender background screening.

Membership and payment

Approved-member access is offered as a $25 per month membership. Membership can only be activated after approval. Payment processing, including card details, is handled securely by our payment provider; Velvet Haven never stores your card information.

Zero tolerance for exploitation and trafficking

You may not use Velvet Haven for human trafficking, sex trafficking, or sexual exploitation of any person. This prohibition covers facilitating, soliciting, advertising, promoting, recruiting for, harbouring, transporting, arranging travel for, paying for, profiting from, or receiving payment for the sexual or forced services of another person.

You also may not aid, abet, encourage, facilitate, instruct in, or conceal the abuse or exploitation of any person — including sexual abuse, sexual violence, non-consensual sexual content, coercion, forced labour, or the exploitation of minors or vulnerable adults. Concealing such conduct from Velvet Haven or from authorities is itself a violation of these Terms.

Accounts involved in this conduct are terminated. We may remove content, preserve relevant records, and report to relevant authorities where required or appropriate.

Conduct and enforcement

Your use of Velvet Haven is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines. We may review reports, remove content, restrict access, suspend or terminate accounts, and preserve relevant information when reasonably necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention or lawful requests. Attempting to evade an enforcement action is itself a violation. If an action was taken against your account, you may submit an appeal from your account.
