Message screening

Member-to-member messages are screened automatically on our servers before delivery by a deterministic, rules-based check (keyword, pattern and combination rules with text normalisation — not artificial intelligence). It screens for commercial sexual services; human or sex trafficking; grooming or the sexualisation of minors; coercion, sexual violence and non-consensual content; scams, fraud and payment solicitation; and attempts to move communication or transactions off the platform. A matching message is not delivered. It is kept as a safety-flag record with an audit entry for review by admin or moderator staff only, and the sender is told the message was held for safety review without being told what matched. Three staff-confirmed violations suspend messaging pending review; unreviewed flags and false positives never count. You can see your own enforcement status and appeal it from your account.

What happens if you break these rules

Violations can lead to removal of content, restriction of access, suspension or termination of your account, reporting to relevant authorities where required or appropriate, and preservation of relevant records so that they are available for lawful requests. Velvet Haven may review reports, remove content, restrict access, suspend or terminate accounts, and preserve relevant information when reasonably necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention, or lawful requests.

If you believe someone is violating this policy, sign in and use the support and reporting options in your account to report the concern. If there is an immediate threat of harm or an emergency, contact local emergency services first. Official requests from law enforcement are handled under our Law Enforcement Request Protocol.
